My Latest Creation

So, many of you know I started sewing about a year ago...and I love it!! I've recently gotten interested in the appliques you see a lot. I also love the pants with ruffles around the leg. These jeans were a little too short but fit great in the waist so I cut them off and added the coordinating ruffles. I made this yesterday, and Lizzie loves it! She didn't want to take it off yesterday when I tried it on her. Today, she saw it hanging and started trying to put it on! At least she likes it!!! And just like Abbie, she LOVES to model for me!!!

Pictures From the Ballgame and This Morning

Last night. the ballgame didn't go quite like we wanted (to say the least), but at least the girls looked cute! :) Also, there are a few pictures of Lizzie and Maw Maw from this morning. They are really cute.

Last Saturday, I got to take Abbie to her first college football game...at AUBURN!!! I wanted to take her last year, but I never got around to doing it. This year, Granddaddy got us 2 tickets for the season opener! We were so excited!! To top it off, Uncle Ben and Aunt Lane got 2 tickets as well and went with us!!! Talk about exciting! Company and HELP!!! Poor Ben...Abbie rode on his shoulders all day and night! We went to the Tiger Walk and got to see the players and Coach Tuberville up close. We were lucky enough to get to stand with the Coopers so we had a great spot! The Coopers are Jared's parents. Jared played football for Blaine here at W.S. Neal our first 2 years here. He was red-shirted by Auburn last year and is now 2nd in line at left guard (I think). Anyway, we were so excited to see one of our own in the Tiger Walk...especially someone as great as Jared!!! After that, I wanted to take Abbie to Toomer's Corner to show her the tree and get some lemonade. We saw lots of people we haven't seen in a while on the way. When we got to the stadium, Abbie was a little over-whelmed! She loved the eagle flying around the stadium. But she was quite upset that we didn't get to sit with Aunt Lane. Luckily, right before half-time, Ben and Lane found some deserted seats where we could all sit together. In the 4th quarter, we got to see Jared play!!! I was so proud and excited...you would think he was my brother or something! Anyway, we had a great time!!! We spent the night with Ben and Lane, and of course, Abbie loved that just as much as the game, I think!!!

Abbie's first day of Kindergarten

On August 7th, Abbie started kindergarten as Neal Elementary School. She was such a big girl!!! She was so excited about school and didn't cry a bit! Since then, we had a little set back, but I think we've taken care of that! She loves school so much, and she loves her teacher!!!

Maw Maw's 80th Birthday and the Lake

July 22 was Maw Maw's 80th birthday. She and MeMe came to Brewton and spent the night. The next day we all went to the lake for one last visit before school began.

Our Family Beach Trip

Sorry I haven't updated our pictures in the last 2 months. As usual, we've been quite busy...plus I've been using my free time (ha) to sew and embroider instead of blog. There are lots of beach pictures so I'll just put most of them in a slide show. We went the weekend of June 28th...Abbie's 5th birthday. We had a ball and both girls really enjoyed the water! Abbie learned to swim, and Lizzie will probably be swimming next summer...she's not scared of the water at all!!
