Pictures from Jenna's Graduation from Auburn!!

Saturday, May 10, the girls and I went to Auburn for my first cousin Jenna's graduation. I didn't get many good pictures, but here are the ones I did get. Jenna graduated with a degree in Elementary Education...bless her!! :) Seems to be a pattern in our family! Anyway, we wish her the best of luck with finding a job and for her first year. I know she will be a wonderful teacher!!

A Quick Picture

I had to take Lizzie to the doctor this morning so I thought I'd try to get a quick picture of them before we left. Much to my surprise, Lizzie was ready...and of course Abbie was too. Lizzie even said "cheese" for the one of her by herself. And Abbie struck a pose like only Abbie can do :)

Fun in the Sun!!!

The girls and I have been outside enjoying the sun this afternoon!! I bought them a "slip-n-slide" and they have had the best time with it. They also enjoyed their Oreo cookies as you can see. I'm still having trouble getting Lizzie to look for pictures, but Abbie is ready to pose! Some poses look like she might be a future swimsuit model...unfortunately!! :)

Spring Break

We've been a little busy lately so I've fallen behind on my posting. Here are some pictures from Spring Break (April 14). Since it fell during turkey season, the girls and I spent the week with Mom and Dad (Blaine was in the woods somewhere all week, of course). Anyway, it was so good to be home for that time. We had so much fun!!! I didn't want to leave!!! The girls had a blast too. They played on the swing set and slide - went to the park - went to Blake's 7th birthday party- and just had fun! The first slideshow is them playing in the backyard.

More pictures playing in the car

Pictures from the park

This last slideshow is of Blake's birthday party, Abbie's "cap and gown" pictures for pre-school graduation which will be in a couple of weeks, Lizzie at 17 months (in the strawberry outfit), and Abbie, Lizzie, and Blaine at the High School Musical On Ice Tour. Sorry for all the slideshows, but I had too many pics to post them individually.

Attack of the Duck!!!

Before I start this post, I want you all to know that I wasn't there so this is all via Blaine. I have laughed my head off about this!!! As some of you know, Blaine is the golf coach. They practice each afternoon at JDCC (the junior college here in town). It's a 3-hole course with a pond. The pond has ducks, of course. We have taken the girls out there to "feed the ducks" like we loved to do in Pell City. The first time we went, I noticed the ducks were quite aggressive. As most of you know, I am terrified of dogs, and this fear also includes ducks now. Anyway, to make a long story short...Abbie and I are afraid of the ducks but Blaine and Lizzie are not. So today, Blaine calls me to see how the girls' doctor appointments went. Afterwards, he proceeds to tell the THE STORY. It goes something like this...he was walking across the bridge to meet up with his golfers who were already on the course. As he crosses, he notices a rather large duck at the end of the bridge. Not being afraid of ducks, he just walks on across. As he passes the duck, it bites him on the leg. Of course, he is caught off guard. The bite draws blood and left a place on his leg. At this point, he makes a noise and shakes his leg. Most of you know Blaine and can picture this whole thing! I can just see it!!! Anyway, he keeps walking and apparently the duck is still mad at him. The duck proceeds to attack him on the back. By this time he is flailing his arms, running from the vicious duck. A couple of the boys see the whole thing...I just wish I could have seen it. Needless to say he does more flailing, hollering, and scampering quickly away from the duck. When I got home and saw the "wound" on his back, I knew I had to take a picture and put it on the blog!!!!! I have laughed so hard...the entire time I've been writing this entry. Anyway, here's his battle wound...

see the perfect outline of the duck's beak!!!!! :)

Abbie and Lizzie

A lot of people ask me and try to decide if Abbie and Lizzie look alike or not. I can see a lot of resemblance in how Lizzie looks now and how Abbie looked at her age. I thought I would post this picture of Abbie at 16 months and Lizzie's picture at 16 months so everyone could compare for themselves. Abbie's face is more of a square where Lizzie's is long. Notice Lizzie (left) wearing no bow and Abbie (right) wearing a bow. If Lizzie had a bow in they would look more alike. This isn't a really good pic of Lizzie...I need to make a better one where you can see her hair...it's just like Abbie's was. I'll try to get one today and repost a better picture.

This is a better picture for comparison. Still not very good nor does she have a bow in...Oh Well!!!
