A Visit From My Dear Friend Erika!!!

A couple of Saturdays ago, we got up and were slow getting ready...had not even brushed my teeth...when the phone rang. It was my friend from Pell City who has moved back home to Columbus, MS. She, her husband Sam, and their twins Isabella and Landry were heading to the beach. She was calling to see about stopping by on their way back. Fortunately she called when she did because I would have been out of town when they came back through. Anyway, she said they were driving through East Brewton on their way to Destin. When I asked her where they were, she looked out her window and said "Coming by the Cozy Corner." For those of you who have been here, you may remember the Cozy Corner (restaurant) is less than 200 yards from our house. So anyway, I started screaming "Turn, turn now!" Literally, if she had waited another 5 seconds, they would have passed our house and I would have been so sad!!! I haven't seen them since we left Pell City...3 years and 3 babies later (my Lizzie and her twins). It was so good to see them! I didn't realize how badly I missed her until they left. Erika, we have to get together again soon!! The kids played to well together while they were here. We did manage to get a few pics, but a 5 year-old drama queen, a 19 month old, and 18 month old twins are quite difficult to, as Blaine says, hem up. Anyway, here are the pics we did get. Sorry it has taken so long. By the way, Lizzie walked around holding her hands up for "Aunt Erika" to hold her (she was Aunt Erika to Abbie when were in Pell City).
