Abbie's Big Day!!!

Abbie started 4 year old Pre-School today! She has been so excited about going...a lot more so than her mommy! Anyway, she got up early this morning and said, "Is this when Daddy gets up to go to work? Wow, this is early!" (She has no idea I'm usually up with Lizzie a good 30 minutes or so before anyone else wakes up!! :) ) She was so cute! She ate breakfast, brushed her teeth, got dressed, and was ready to leave then. When we got there is was pouring!!! And we had NO umbrella!! No biggie...we just looked like drowned rats! We went in her classroom and she never turned back. No tears, no wining, no wanting me to stay. I am so proud of her!! And mommy didn't cry either. I can't wait to pick her up and hear all about it! She's definitely not a baby anymore! Football Season Begins!!

Our first family picture after a football game. It was only the jamboree, but that counts too!! By the way, the boys (and one girl) looked pretty good. Maybe the season won't be too bad after all! Fingers crossed!!!

Lizzie is 9 months old!!!

I can't believe how much Lizzie has grown and changed, and I can't believe she is 9 months old!!! Seems like she was just born! Here are her 9 month snapshots.

Ready For Pre-School

Abbie begins Pre-School Monday, August 27. She is so excited!! This morning, we had to go register her. She was such a big girl. We got to meet her teacher, Mrs. Dunaway, and see her classroom. Not sure I'll get a chance to make pictures in her room on Monday so I made a couple today. Also, here she is with Mrs. Dunaway. I can't believe she is old enough to start school!!

Sunday, we met Blair and Jennifer in Birmingham and took the girls to Libby Lu. They had a blast! Abbie got the Hannah Montana makeover and Blair got the Libby "Du" makeover. Here are some pictures.

Trying something else...

I have already posted this video, but I posted it with YouTube. Some schools (my mom and brother's) block YouTube because it contains some questionable videos (I guess). Anyway, I'm trying to post it through Photobucket hoping the videos can be seen by everyone. We'll see how it works...
By the way, Lizzie is walking...without holding or pushing anything!!! She can take several steps across the room. She just started taking more than one step at a time today. Hopefully I can get some video footage of it and post it soon!! She'll be 9 months old on Monday. I really didn't expect her to already be walking!!! They grow TOO FAST!!!

Lizzie Learns to Clap

Lizzie started clapping this morning for the first time. It was so cute. I tried to video her this morning, but she couldn't stop reaching at the camera long enough. This afternoon, Abbie sang for her and she finally clapped for the camera. I think it is adorable!!

Abbie begins Gymnastics!

Abbie started gymnastics today for the second year. Her teacher said she was so advanced that she wanted her in the 5 and 6 year old class. Of course Abbie wanted to move up. Last year she worked really hard and learned to do a cartwheel. She's really good on the balance beam and the low bar. Maybe she'll be a gymnast one day!

Abbie, Noah, and Taylor had a great time playing in the pool today. Here is video and picture of them and Lizzie. Abbie kinda had a "moment" when she thought I wasn't videoing her! What have I gotten myself into?????

Abbie is obsessed with Hannah Montana. She would watch it from morning till night if she could!! Anyway, here's a video of her singing. For all of my videos, you must click on the title of the post to see them. I haven't figured out how to post them like a picture yet.

Lizzie tried to walk

For the first time, Lizzie took a step without holding on to me or her walker. It was only one step but as Rachael (Philip's wife) said, I did the "happy dance." I did get a short video of her pushing her walker. Just want to see if I can get it to post. If so, I'll video some more to add to our site.
I finally figured out how to post the videos on the site!!!!! It only tool me about 10 hours! I'm not a computer guru, but much persistence paid off!!!!! I am SOOOO excited!

"Libby Du"

Sunday the girls and I met Mom and Dad in Montgomery. While we were there, I took Abbie to get her hair done at Libby Lu (not sure of the spelling). Anyway, Abbie had her hair twisted up like a pop star! It was adorable!!! Here are some pictures from it. The last 2 pictures are after we took it down. Looks like a model's hair to me.
Also included is Lizzie's first attempt at a heelstretch! Aunt Lane will be so proud!!
